Tulsi Gabbard Drops Out of Presidential Race; Potential VP to Biden?

Tulsi Gabbard, the non intervention Libertarian leaning Democrat, has officially dropped out of the Democratic race for President and endorsed her former opponent Joe Biden for the nomination over Bernie Sanders.

From The New York Times:

Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who ran a foreign policy-focused campaign for the presidential nomination of a party she sharply criticized, announced on Thursday that she was dropping out of the race.

Ms. Gabbard, who had been one of only three candidates and the only woman remaining in the Democratic primary, said she would throw her support to former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., who has accumulated a nearly insurmountable lead in the delegate count. Throughout the race, her campaign struggled to gain traction, never breaking double digits in state or national polls. She won only two delegates in the primary contests, both in American Samoa, where she was born.

Now that Gabbard has made a name for herself in American politics and with Biden suggesting that he would name a women as his Vice President could Rep. Gabbard be that option?

Biden would benefit from naming someone like Gabbard to VP. She is one that challenged the establishment of the Democratic Party and brought forth major arguments against government intervention across the globe that was missing from a party that typically prides itself on strong foreign policy ties. She is former military, something that Biden doesn’t have (nor Trump), and is extremely respected in Congress.

“Although I may not agree with the vice president on every issue, I know that he has a good heart and is motivated by his love for our country and the American people,” she said. “I’m confident that he will lead our country guided by the spirit of aloha — respect and compassion — and thus help heal the divisiveness that has been tearing our country apart.”

Her biggest asset is she pissed off Hillary Clinton and that is a huge win for everyone!
